bio
Viktoria Gorny is a London based artist, who is working primarily with metal, creating both wearable pieces for the body and sculptural objects. Her practice is rooted in an exploration of pure forms, where the boundaries between art and design blur. Drawing inspiration from philosophical and psychological themes, in particular those tied to personal experiences and the human body, each piece she creates serves as a reflection of the human condition.
By seamlessly moving between two- and three-dimensional forms, Viktoria deepens her exploration of complex ideas and concepts. This fluidity in approach allows her to question and reinterpret traditional notions of adornment and sculpture, pushing the boundaries of both mediums. Photography plays a crucial role in her creative process, enabling her to explore ideas through a different lens. Often, these investigations lead to final pieces created through photo-etching, a technique that further bridges her interest in visual experimentation and form.
